How does it feel to lose a loved one?

#first. When I was 14 years old, I lost both my parents in one night. I was dumbfounded at that time, not daring to believe that this was the truth, always feeling that the world around was full of lies. I bit myself, hurt myself, wanted to wake myself up. At night, I always curl up and hug the blanket, tricking myself into thinking that I am hugging my mother. Tears flowed down the pillow but did not dare to let out a choked sob, afraid of being heard by relatives sleeping next to him.

After that, the relics of my parents were placed in the middle of the living room, relatives and friends all came to visit and light a candle for them. My emotions have been numb for a long time, only rigidly repeating the movements of bowing to say hello, thank you, burn incense, bow, … like a mindless robot. However, I kept waiting, looking out the door from time to time, hoping that my parents would suddenly appear and return home after work like before. Obviously I’m still at home, everything is still the same, Dad’s clothes, Mom’s makeup, the tree he takes care of every day, the blankets that smell like sunlight washed by Mom, they are still intact. completely… I hugged my parents’ clothes tightly to my lap, trying my best to inhale the scent left over from them. Why did my parents leave me alone in this world? I don’t believe.

It wasn’t until the day my parents were cremated that I dared to see their faces one last time. Three days of self-repressing my emotions made me go crazy, the scene in front of my eyes blurred, even though my parents were all neatly made up, they still looked unsightly. Especially my mother, how can she be so thin? I hugged the remains of my parents, wobbly and followed the group in the heavy music. The people around were all pointing at me, look, the boy was only ten years old and lost both his parents, so pitiful. I lowered my head, not wanting people to see that I was already an orphan. After the cremation was completed, I kept kneeling on the ground, my parents are now just dust.

After that, I forgot a lot, because it was too painful, so I chose to forget. But the painful feeling at that time, every time I remember it still breaks my heart. I am 31 years old now, have a daughter. But a child without parents like me, all joys and sorrows cannot be shared with parents. I wanted to repay them, but there was no chance. Then wait after I die, until then I can see them again.

#2. I have a friend, her mother passed away 3 years ago. One night, she saw a person whose back was exactly like her mother’s, in terms of body shape, clothes, hairstyle, and gait. She happily ran to shout to her mother, but when she was running, she suddenly stopped and suddenly realized that her mother was no longer there.

She also said, one day when she was lying at home, she heard very familiar footsteps, exactly like her mother’s footsteps when going upstairs, so she got up and ran to the door, gently. push the door out. She said, at that moment, she really hoped that the person standing in front of her was her mother.

There is also a colleague who once told me, her mother listened to a song written about her mother, and then tears flowed from her eyes from time to time. She said, her grandmother passed away ten years ago…

Perhaps time will fade some things, but as long as time allows, conditions allow, memories and nostalgia for your deceased person will flood back like a flood, no matter what. This kind of suffering can only be hidden in the heart, no one can understand. Even though you face life every day with a smiling face, feeling yourself as unstoppable as superman, but in the deepest, softest and most defenseless place in the world. My heart is still filled with nostalgia for my loved ones. No matter who it is, no matter how small it is, just a little touch, the bridge of your nose will sting again, even if you don’t want to cry, your tears still won’t listen , each row of water falls.

Hopefully each of us will learn to appreciate those around us…
